Dimapur is the largest city in Nagaland State. It is the gateway to Nagaland and its main commercial city. Bishop Hubert D' Rosario, Bishop of Dibrugarh, invited Bethany to Dimapur. Responding to his invitation, Mother Macrina, the superior general at that time sent a batch of four young and energetic Sisters full of zeal and enthusiasm - Sr Doreen the Superior, Sr Lolitta, Sr Lenice and Sr Gleva.

The convent at Dimapur was formally opened on 17 January 1969. The Sisters immediately set out to assist in the day-to-day administration of the newly opened Holy Cross School. Besides their teaching ministry, Sisters opened a hostel in 1973, catering mainly to girls from the villages around Dimapur. A new hostel building with improved facilities was constructed by the Sisters in 2006, accommodating a greater number of students. Bifurcation of the Dibrugarh diocese in 1973 saw the birth of a new diocese called the Kohima–Imphal diocese, comprising of Nagaland and Manipur. With the creation of the diocese, there was a spurt of activities in the region. Rising to the occasion, Sr Aquinas and Sr Therese Simon plunged into what later became the Socio-Medical and Pastoral Apostolate at Dimapur. In the year 1983, the diocese opened a new primary school named Christ School on the same campus to meet the needs of the people with one of the Sisters as the headmistress.

In due course, Holy Cross Dispensary was established. It belonged to the Parish, although a Sister Nurse was in charge. The nurse also had the responsibility for the social and pastoral work of the parish. However, the medical apostolate was abandoned in 2010, and the dispensary closed down as it was no more relevant due to the mushrooming of medical centres in the town. Thus, along with the educational apostolate, the Sisters ventured into the socio-medical field and pastoral care, hostel ministry, developmental work and women empowerment. At present Leena Miranda is the Superior of the house and the community members are: Sr Kiran, Sr Genevive, Sr Benedicta D’ Silva, Sr Malati Magdalene, Sr Cicilia Kujur and Sr Nirmala Toppo. The sisters who served as superiors are: Sr Doreen (1969), Sr Dimphna (1969-1970), Sr Noeline (1970-1976), Sr Justina (1976-1979), Sr Canisia (1979-1982), Sr Jean Marie (1982-1988),Sr Lucious (1988-1993), Sr Mildred (1993-1999), Sr Kiran (1999-2005), Sr Febronia (2005-2011), Sr Carol (2011-2017), Sr Leena Miranda (2017-)
