VOCATION ANIMATION“He went up the mountain and called to him those whom he wanted, and they came to him” Mk:13Vocation animation is one of the significant missions of the church. Therefore every baptised person is called to share in this mission. Hence facilitating vocations in an atmosphere of faith and attentiveness to God’s call within families, schools, hostels and parishes is our privileged task. We cannot deny that we are witnessing sharp decline in vocations. Modernisation, globalisation, nuclear families, better career options and diminishing faith life are said to be some of the causes for the decline. |
Hence we lay emphasis on faith formation, especially of children in our schools, boarding houses, parishes and in families. As followers of Christ every Bethany Sister has the mission of awakening in every human heart a quest for the divine and share the compassionate love of Jesus with humanity. Through our joyful living and witness of life we promote vocations to the consecrated life, while being fully aware that every vocation has its own worth and place in the Church. Personal witness being an essential part of vocation animation, a Bethany Sister endeavours to be approachable and available to people in general and particularly to the young, and guide them in their search for a life style that is meaningful to them |
