Dharmanagar, July 14: The recent flood situation in Cachar District, Assam, especially in Silchar alarmed all of us. A quick thought to be a good neigbour to our suffering brothers and sisters moved us to action. Service Week was anticipated and a video depicting the flood situation was circulated to all our contacts. We involved the students, staff, parents, well-wishers and our neighbours to raise funds to reach out to the distressed people. An assembly was organized on the theme “Compassionate love for the suffering humanity”.
 
Community
At the end class- wise collection was made. Two of our staff members visited all the neighbouring areas motivating the people for generous contributions. Students involved the people around their area and made collection. Many people of good will came forward with their help. Our staff members contributed a day’s wage. With the generous contribution of all we collected dry food, drinking water, toilet articles and cash. Thus Bethany is making her presence felt through her service to the humanity bringing home the message to everyone to be a good neighbor.
