JUNIORS’ ANNUAL SEMINAR AT  SILCHAR

HUMAN RIGHTS DAY AND A MESSAGE OF FRATERNITY

On December 10, 2022, the International Human Rights Day was observed at Bethany Social Service Center Silchar in collaboration with Holy Cross School Silchar. The UN theme for Human Rights Day 2022 (HR Day 2022), 'Dignity, Freedom and Justice for All' was kept up to highlight the need for freedom and justice in all sectors The Bethany Sisters with the help of students and teachers of Bethany Promotional Schools (BPS) which are run in the slums of Silchar, organized an awareness rally from Holy Cross School campus to Rangirkhari circle. About 300 persons walked with a message of equality, justice and fraternity holding placards and shouting slogans, coupled with the enlivening and unifying music of the song ‘Anandaloke’ by Rabindranath Tagore that was played throughout the rally. It included children of BPS centers, the students of Holy Cross Hr Sec School, the Self Help Group members, trainees of the Social Service Center, and a good number of teachers and Bethany Sisters. HUMAN RIGHTS DAY AND A MESSAGE OF FRATERNITY
On December 10, 2022, the International Human Rights Day was observed at Bethany Social Service Center Silchar in collaboration with Holy Cross School Silchar. ‘A new world is possible with more peace, order and better governance' was the unspoken tone of the significant rally. Dr Zia Uddin Mazumder and Dr Nishikant Patoa from Holy Cross School shared inspiring messages. It was truly an uniting factor in a diverse lingual, cultural and ethnic context of the place. Sr Nirmala Toppo, Sr Sweety Kharbani and the staff of Bethany Social Work centre, Sr Teresa Martis and the staff of Holy Cross School helped in the preparations and conduct of the successful event.
