The initiation of 20 candidates from Northern Province (4), Eastern Province (7) Guwahati Province (3) and Silchar province (6) into the Sacred Heart Pre-Novitiate, Pakhal Faridabad took place at 10.15 am on the 20th of June 2024 at Bethany Convent Chapel, Pakhal, Faridabad in Northern Province. Sr Erasma, the Provincial Superior of Northern Province received the 20 candidates into Sacred Heart Pre-Novitiate. Sr Jessy Maria, Provincial Superior of Eastern Province was present and the affiliates were accompanied by the Sisters from nearby communities. Initiation of Affiliates into Sacred Heart Pre-Novitiate
The initiation of 20 candidates from Northern Province (4), Eastern Province (7) Guwahati Province (3) and Silchar province (6) into the Sacred Heart Pre-Novitiate, Pakhal Faridabad took place at 10.15 am on the 20th of June 2024 at Bethany Convent Chapel, Pakhal, Faridabad in Northern Province. Sr Erasma, the Provincial Superior of Northern Province received the 20 candidates into Sacred Heart Pre-Novitiate. Sr Jessy Maria, Provincial Superior of Eastern Province was present and the affiliates were accompanied by the Sisters from nearby communities. Sacred Heart Pre- Novitiate was shifted from Lumding, Silchar Province. This event marked an important landmark in Northern Province as the Province is having a proper formation house in the Province for the first time. This significant event marked the formal entry of this 20 Affiliates into the Spiritual and inward journey of their religious life.
 
Initiation of Affiliates into Sacred Heart Pre-Novitiate
The day began with meditation. Sr Erasma, Provincial Superior guided the mediation for the affiliates which was followed by a solemn Holy Eucharist officiated by Fr Ravi Kota, parish priest of Faridabad. The initiation ceremony began with a solemn procession with diyas in their hands, signifying the candidates’ entrance into a new phase of their religious formation. Sr Jessy Maria, Provincial Superior of Eastern Province delivered a message, highlighting the significance of the Pre-Novitiate formation and exhorted the affiliates to walk the path of faith after the example of Abraham. She offfered a few practical tips to remain connected to Jesus. A special blessing was imparted upon the Pre-Novices by invoking Holy Spirit upon them as they begin to walk on this path of formation and discernment. The ceremony concluded with the Magnificat. After the ceremony, there was a short felicitation programme and the new Pre- Novices were greeted and congratulated. Sr Erasma, the Provincial Superior welcomed the gathering and expressed gratitude to all and she wished well Sr Elizabeth Uchoi, Pre- Novice Directress and Sr Priyadarshini, Assistant Pre-Novice Directress in forming the young ones. Thereafter, a sumptuous meal was served by the Bethany Convent, Pakhal.
